Chelsea still have an interest in Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo and talks are ongoing despite the Seagulls rejecting an offer believed to be around 55million last week.

The 21-year-old midfielder has been identified as someone who can come in and massively improve the Blues midfield. However,Chelseasaw an offer turned down for his services with Brighton understandably wanting to keep hold of the Ecuadorian.

Caicedo is someone Chelsea have been interested in for a while even beforeGraham Potter took over as head coach just over four months ago. Its safe to say the interest has intensified sincePotters appointment, though, with the Chelsea head coach having worked with him down at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi recently reiterated his desire to keep Caicedo, but he did also admit its always difficult to be certain when it comes to transfers in football. Caicedo is very important for us, De Zerbi said.

I hope he finishes the season with us, but its always difficult to be certain. The best solution is that he finishes the season with us and for him, in the summer, its better then if he changes teams.

football.londonunderstands Chelsea are expected to keep trying in their pursuit of Caicedo this week ahead of the transfer deadline in eight days time. With just a week over the window, there is plenty of business still to be done at Stamford Bridge, but with six signings already made, the majority of deals are likely to be departures.

Chelsea are open to lettingHakim Ziyechleave the club this month,football.londonhas been told. The Moroccan winger, 29, has been in good recent form for the Blues, but the club have already signed three players who play in a similar position than Ziyech in January.

Noni Madueke, the most recent signing, tends to play on the right-hand side and cuts in on his left foot, like Ziyech. Meanwhile,Mykhailo MudrykandJoao Felixcan both play on either flank, so there is now fierce competition for Ziyech to get in Potters main team.

There is interest in Ziyech from England as well as Italy, but nothing is advanced just yet. The former Ajax winger wanted to leave Stamford Bridge last summer and the feeling is that he would again be open for a move between now and next weeks deadline.

Elsewhere, asfootball.londonreported last weekConor Gallagheris a wanted man. Crystal Palace and Newcastle United have both expressed an interest in trying to sign the England international on a loan deal this month.

Gallagher has failed to impress this season under Potter whenever handed the opportunity. He did, though, impress while on loan at Crystal Palace last season so his stock is still pretty high in the Premier League.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyangis someone Chelsea are open to letting go before next weeks deadline. The 33-year-old attacker joined from Barcelona towards the start of the season so has represented both his former club and Chelsea this term; something that massively complicates any move this month.

FIFA rules do not allow a player to represent three clubs during the same domestic calendar. So, any move for Aubameyang would have to be to his former club Barcelona should he want to play any football between now and the end of the season. Aubameyang is not part of Potters plans at Chelsea and if he cant be moved on in this window, then the Blues are likely to try and offload him in the summer.

So there are four deals Chelsea could still complete before the end of the month. The final days are not expected to be as action-packed as what weve seen so far in the window, but honestly, with Chelsea at the moment, you would not be at all surprised.
